The Internet has over a trillion web pages, many more active than others. For businesses and individuals looking to get found online, that’s a lot of information for the average searcher to decode. It can be overwhelming to even know where to start; it can be even harder to make sure the pages you encounter are of value.
This is where SEO (Search Engine Optimization) comes into focus.
In practice, SEO is simple: Google, Bing, and Yahoo crawl the entire Internet and return results for queries based on relevance, doing so with a measure of precision and efficiency. When you Google a pair of shoes you’re interested in, Google returns the results that seem like a best fit for you based on a variety of factors. It may show you paid ads at the top of the SERP (Search Engine Result Page) first, or maybe a link to an Amazon page.
The main goal of SEO and its neighbor SEM (Search Engine Marketing) is to connect businesses, products, and people with what they’re searching for. There are ways to make webpages show up higher on Google, with the end goal of being ranked on the coveted first page of results. In fact, there are a lot of ways to make this happen, which we’ll go into deeper in other blogs. Google’s desire is to return only the most relevant pages to a user. By publishing valuable and significant content, a website can be returned higher in the results more often.
Most Google searchers find what they’re seeking in the first page of results, ignoring the rest. So, it’s at a business’s own peril that they ignore search engines and optimized web content. The visibility of a website can mean the difference between death and survival for a company.
Our goal is to make websites'
SEO and SEM automated so any business we work with ranks highly in Google search results. We try to bridge the gap between death and survival for a website by helping users find the most relevant goods and services they’re seeking online. SEO and SEM are neither games nor gimmicks—they’re a complete strategy, an entire content pipeline to ensure that optimized content reaches those who need it most.
